Planned Trail Connectivity
In no particular order, these are the places that we would like to have trails to and from.
- Barton Creek Trail - We would like to promote connectivity between the
Barton Creek Trail and trails behind the Travis Country.
- Will Hampton Library - In particular a trail to the Dick Nichols Park.
- Williamson Creek - The trail starts at MoPac (where the Southwest Trail-For-A-Day will pass).
- Slaughter Creek starts at 290 near the Hays / Travis border and flows East.
It crosses 1826 and then MoPac. There are bits of trail along the way.
- Oak Hill Ball Fields, the William Creek runs behind this, so that trail would be the connecter.
- Multiple Schools - All schools in Oak Hill should have access via trails.
- Gaines Park should have a connecter to the Barton Creek Trails and then to Oak Hill.
- Convict Hill Quarry Park has a short trail through it. Nice stop on any hike.
- The "Y" at Oak Hill. We should have trails leading to the Y as a destination.
- Soccer Fields in Circle C, there are trails and a frisbee golf course.
- Dick Nichols Park - There are existing trails between Dick Nichols Park and Escarpment. We need to improve the trail to the library and make certain
that it does not invade the privacy of the homes behind the library.
- Future Southwest Regional Park - City of Austin
- Travis County Offices on Hwy 71 West, there should be a trail to it from South of 71 and from the East.
- Seton Southwest Hospital - Work on a foot trail from the end of Davis Lane to FM 1826 has started.
